An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Rhodes of Africa (released in the U.S. as "Rhodes" and also as "Rhodes, the Empire Bulider"), the 1936 Berthold Viertel English diamonds African jungle adventure thriller ("Walter Huston as Rhodes: Diamond master, Empire builder, Jungle conqueror."; "Based on the book by Sarah Gertrude Millin") starring Walter Huston (in the title role as Cecil John Rhodes), Oscar Homolka, Basil Sydney, Frank Cellier, Peggy Ashcroft, and Ndanisa Kumalo (a real native from South Africa!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides. When we auction slides that have a cardboard holder, we provide a separate image of how the cardboard holder looks, but when we auction slides with the black tape (like this one) we only provide the scan of the glass slide image, because that really is about all there is to see. Condition: good to very good. There is a faint scuff line across the "ER" of "WALTER" at top center, and also a line in the "R" of "RHODES" (both are much less visible in person than they are in our scan).
