Fraser (billed as "Harry Fraser") cowboy western (from the story 'Deuces Wild' by Jay J. Kaley) starring Rex Bell, Ruth Mix (daughter of Tom Mix, who appeared in around a dozen movies, starting as a teenager), Buzz Barton, Stanley Blystone, Earl Dwire, and John Elliott. Note that Buzz Barton was born William Lamoreaux, but at the age of 12, he played a small role in a B-western, billed as "Billy Lamar". Over the next two years, he appeared in a total of nine B-westerns, being billed under various names. Apparently, he was quite a horseman, and in 1927, he starred in "The Boy Rider" as a youthful western hero, and he was billed as "Buzz Barton". This proved to be a very popular movie, and over the next two years, he appeared in around a dozen similar movies, as the "World's Greatest Juvenile Western Star", always playing David "Red" Hepner (because of Barton's red hair). Over the next few years, he continued making B-westerns, playing various characters, but becoming an adult hurt his career, and he was reduced to playing uncredited parts in scores of B-westerns in the late 1930s. He left the movies in 1942, when he enlisted in the Navy (even though he only grew to 5'2" as an adult). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that on this movie, and on several other releases of the 1930s and 1940s, lesser studios sometimes issued a set of very different looking lobby cards! This was part of a "photolobby" set with a glossy color scene from the movie, and was printed on the type of paper used for 11x14 stills, not the type used for lobby cards. It is possible that some of these movies also had a regular lobby card set, but I believe in most cases there was only a photolobby set. Condition: fair to good. There are creases and scuffs throughout the photolobbies and there are areas of tattering and staining around the edges. There are some pieces of tape on the front and back around the edges of the photolobbies. Learn More about condition grades
