A 1918 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) The Eagle's Mate, the 1914 James Kirkwood silent romantic melodrama ("Dreams of home."; "A drama of splendid emotions and heroic action"; "When a bird is caught by an eagle it is no use to struggle."; "Desperate with hunger Anemone eats the food she first refused."; "The Mornes always fight for their mates."; "You're going to be my wife!"; "A story palpitant with primal passions and the joy of life.") starring Mary Pickford ("The world's foremost motion picture star"), James Kirkwood, Ida Waterman, Robert Broderick, Harry C. Browne, Helen Gilmore, Estelle Kibby, R.J. Henry, and Russell Bassett NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: fair to good. There is staining and slight deterioration down the left edge of the slide, mostly in the black background area, but very slightly touching the Paramount logo and the "M" of "MARY". The black tape is missing from the left border. Otherwise, the slide is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
