An Original Undated (probably 1935) Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" Movie Still (Learn More) Carl 'Alfalfa' Switzer was an actor from the 1930s to the 1950s. Some of his movies include: Beginner's Luck, Goin' Fishin', and The Defiant Ones. He will always be best remembered for his role as one of the "Our Gang" members. Switzer passed away in 1959 at the age of 31. He was murdered during an argument with a man who purportedly owed Switzer $50. Important Added Info: Note that there are the remnants of a paper snipe on the back of the still. Someone penciled in "1935" on the back of the still, and it clearly is a vintage still, and it likely is from 1935. The still code "HRPKX559" is in the lower right. It seems quite likely this still is from the 1936 "Our Gang" short, "Pay As You Exit". If anyone knows which "Our Gang" movies this still is from, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good to fine. The still is lightly rippled in the bottom center, caused by the glue from the snipe on the back. Learn More about condition grades
