An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More)

Joanna Moore was an actress from the 1950s to the 1980s. When she was a child, her father crashed their car, which killed her mother and sister, and her father died of his injuries later (Joanna was not in the car). She won a beauty contest as a teenager in Georgia and went to Hollywood, where she got a small role in "Touch of Evil". Over the next five years, she mostly did TV, including four episodes of "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", and a memorable 4-episode run as "Peg", "Andy's rich girlfriend" on "The Andy Griffith Show". That led to a role in "Son of Flubber" in 1963. But that same year, she met and married Ryan O'Neal, and they quickly had two children, Tatum and Griffin, and for the rest of the 1960s, she just continued making frequent television appearances. In 1967, she divorced Ryan O'Neal, and became an alcoholic and a drug addict, and in 1970, she lost custody of her children. She then completely vanished, and was not heard from for many years until she resurfaced decades later, and she passed away in 1997 from lung cancer at the age of 63, with her daughter Tatum at her side.
Important Added Info: Note that this still measures 8 1/4" x 10" [21 x 25 cm].
