Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) As You Like It, the 1936 (released in the U.S. in 1937) Paul Czinner English romantic comedy ("The motion picture that everyone is talking about!"; "All the world's a stage..."; loosely based on the play by William Shakespeare) starring Elisabeth Bergner, Laurence Olivier, Henry Ainley, Sophie Stewart, Stuart Robertson, and Leon Quartermaine NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This poster has been professionally linenbacked. It now looks great, and most dealers would describe it as "fine (or mint) on linen". We have noted the defects that were restored below (and feel everyone should always do this!). Many collectors would not be aware of the restoration this poster has had unless it was specifically shown to them! Condition: very good. This poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. It appears to have had the following defects: The poster had minor foldwear and some smudges in the borders. There were some odd red stains in the top title and credits area (possibly ink transfer from the bottom of the poster, caused by the poster being folded too quickly after printing) that the linenbacker made no attempt to restore. All it would take it be for a talented restorer to touch up these unrestored areas (without rebacking the poster) and the poster would look great! But please note that the person who had this poster linenbacked left no excess linen around the edges of the poster because he wanted to put it in a frame. Learn More about condition grades
