Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) La Dolce Vita (sometimes referred to as "Federico Fellini's La Dolce Vita"; literally translates to "The Sweet Life"), the classic 1960 (released in the U.S. in 1961) Federico Fellini (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award for this film) French/Italian romantic melodrama ("Uncut uncensored now for all to see... the nights, the drunken revels, the sin and the sinners, the perverted decadence of the jet set rich who live what they call 'the sweet life'"; "The most talked about - the most shocked about film of our years"; about a successful Italian movie critic who is dissatisfied with the emptiness of his life, even though he is surrounded by rich and famous people and has a beautiful girlfriend, and he yearns to understand why) starring Marcello Mastroianni, Anita Ekberg, Anouk Aimee, Yvonne Furneaux, Magali Noel, Lex Barker, Jacques Sernas, Alain Cuny, Annibale Ninchi, Walter Santesso, Nadia Gray, and Franca Pasut. Note that Astor Pictures, which had been known for mostly re-releasing classic U.S. movies in the 1940s and 1950s, acquired the rights for the first American release of this classic Italian movie, which they released on April 19, 1961. Condition: good to very good. faint brown water stains along the vertical fold in Ekberg's image (they are noticeable from the back of the poster but can only be seen from the front on close inspection); minor creases and scuffs throughout the poster (more so along the foldlines); poster was oddly folded with the vertical foldline off-center a bit resulting in a 2" "lip" when the poster is folded; Note that this is the type of poster that responds well to restoration! A talented restorer can surely remove the water stains with chemical means, and after linenbacking, the poster would look wonderful, without any paint restoration! Learn More about condition grades
