Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had a long uneven tear starting in the top, with fairly large paper loss at the top of the tear, extending into the image background. The tear ran from below the paper loss down through the woman's hat and down the right side of her face and down the right of the top of the dress. The poster also had some fine surface paper loss on parts of the folds, with paper loss in the lower left blank border and some creases, stains, and tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone backed the poster with the slightest attempt at restoration. If I owned this rare poster, I would surely have it removed from the old linen and properly restored, and afterwards, it will display well, but bear all this in mind before bidding on this poster.
