Badger silent mistaken identity romantic love triangle comedy (based on a story by Elinor Glyn, most famous as the author of "Three Weeks" and "It"; the title of this movie was an attempt to make a connection with her bestseller "Three Weeks"; about a beautiful young lady who sees a man driving a very expensive car, and she thinks he is rich, but actually, he is just driving his boss' car, and sparks fly between them; later she goes to a millionaire's house, who takes her swimming and hides her clothes, but the poor man she met earlier rescues her and they get married) starring Clara Bow ("the luscious, throbbing, captivating, red-head!"), Neil Hamilton, Harrison Ford (of course, not the same Harrison Ford that we know as an actor today, but a very popular leading man of the 1920s), Lucille Powers, Julia Swayne Gordon, William Holden (no, not THAT William Holden, but another actor of the same name who made 20 movies between 1920 and 1931, and he died the next year, which was 7 years before the more famous William Holden made his first movie!), and Edythe Chapman. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving complete copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that ANY movie posters larger than a window card from this movie are incredibly rare. We had never auctioned any poster larger than a window card until we received this one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the top two crossfolds. It had paper loss at the bottom crossfold, with small paper loss scattered across the bottom horizontal fold, and a diagonal tear running from the bottom crossfold into the bottom of the "B". There were two small areas of paper loss in the left of the middle fold, one touching the edge of her lip and the other beneath that. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed by a talented professional. You can see signs of the above defects and the restoration, but it is not very noticeable at all, except when you look closely at the poster. From any reasonable viewing distance, this really rare poster displays quite well! Learn More about condition grades
