Reckless Living, the 1938 Frank McDonald romantic love triangle horse racing gambling melodrama ("Story by Gerald Beaumont"; about a poor young man living in a boarding house in love with a beautiful young girl, and he goes to the race track to try to win enough money to marry her, but she meets a rich owner of horses, and we wonder who she will end up with) starring Robert Wilcox, Nan Grey, Jimmie Savo, William Lundigan, and Frank Jenks. Note that star Robert Wilcox was a handsome young man who married actress Florence Rice (daughter of sports writer Grantland Rice) in 1937, and he starred in several movies. He entered the army as a private and left as a captain, but that absence from the screen hurt his movie career, and he only appeared in 4 more movies. He became an alcoholic, but he sobered up, and in 1950, he married Diana Barrymore, and they celebrated his sobriety by getting drunk together. They had a stormy 5 year marriage with many alcoholic brawls, and he passed away in 1955, and he was just 45 years old. Diana Barrymore's biography, "Too Much, Too Soon", was dedicated to Mr. Wilcox.
