Avildsen (winner of the Best Director Academy Award for this film) Philadelphia Pennsylvania boxing sports action romantic melodrama ("His whole life was a million-to-one shot."; "Written by Sylvester Stallone"; winner of the Best Picture Academy Award; produced by Irwin Winkler) starring Sylvester Stallone (nominated for the Best Actor Academy Award for this film; in the title role as Rocky Balboa), Talia Shire (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film; as Adrian), Burt Young (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film), Carl Weathers (as Apollo Creed), Burgess Meredith (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; "as Mickey"), and Butkus Stallone (as Butkus the dog!). Note this film was released late in 1976 and all of the first release U.S. posters have a 1977 NSS number on them.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster is not marked, but it is NOT the style B poster, and since we know that there IS a style B poster on this title, we assume that this poster is the style A, so we are referring to it in that fashion. We are also currently auctioning another example of this poster that has four autographs on it (this one is not signed at all). Also note that this poster was never folded and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: very good. The poster was never folded. It has a few minor creases scattered throughout.
