An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Little Men, the 1940 Norman Z. McLeod orphan children melodrama sequel ("Louisa May Alcott's famous sequel to 'Little Women'"; about a school for homeless boys, run by the grown up Jo March and her professor husband, that takes in a street tough kid with a heart of gold; he's later accused of stealing, even though he's innocent) starring Kay Francis (as Jo March), Jack Oakie, George Bancroft, James Lydon (billed as "Jimmy Lydon"), Ann Gillis, Charles Esmond, Sterling Holloway, and "Elsie the Cow" (this is indeed the same Elsie the Cow who became famous in Borden Milk ads, starting in 1939, and Elsie is surely the most remembered "actor" from this movie!) NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and very minor wear on the borders. It had pinholes and smudges around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above, but they are really not very distracting (and a talented restorer could touch them up without re-backing the poster).
