Garson Kanin's The Rat Race, the 1960 Robert Mulligan sex-in-New-York-City-between-models-and-musicians romantic melodrama ("Two young hopefuls ready to claw, steal or do anything - to get to the top..."; "...caught in the turmoil of New York's wild, frantic, furious rat race!"; "Caught in New York's wild, frantic rat race!"; "Screenplay by Garson Kanin Based on His Play") starring Tony Curtis, Debbie Reynolds, Jack Oakie, Kay Medford, Don Rickles, Joe Bushkin, Sam Butera (real-life musician who plays one of the band members in the movie), and Gerry Mulligan (best jazz player of his era who appeared in four movies, playing a saxophone!)
