eMoviePoster.comAuction History Result 2a0524 BUTCHER BOY 8x10 still 1917 great smiling portrait of Roscoe Fatty Arbuckle by Apeda, rare! Date Sold 4/17/2022Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Still (Learn More) The Butcher Boy, the 1917 Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle silent comedy short starring Roscoe 'Fatty' Arbuckle, Buster Keaton, Al St. John, Josephine Stevens, and Arthur Earle. Note that this was not only Fatty Arbuckle's very first film for his newly formed company (with Paramount Pictures) called "Comique", but it was also the very first movie ever that Buster Keaton appeared in (he would go on to make several other shorts with Arbuckle). Movie paper from this title is virtually nonexistent! Important Added Info: Note that the back of the still has a wonderful typed biography of Fatty Arbuckle, describing him and his involvement in this movie. It describes him as "worth his weight in laughs", and that his face is "as well known today as the face of the Man on the Moon"! Also note that not only is any movie paper from this historic comedy short impossible to find (this is the only movie paper of any kind we have ever auctioned from it), but it also has a wonderful image of Arbuckle on the front, and a lot of typed information about the still on the back (see our images). If it seems that we DID auction it before, it is because we did auction it in 2020, but the person who purchased it has reconsigned it to us, so it is STILL the only movie paper item from this movie we have ever auctioned! Condition: very good. The still has tiny paper loss in the bottom left corner and a few creases scattered throughout, more so around the edges. Learn More about condition grades
