An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Return of Doctor X, the 1939 Vincent Sherman science fiction (sci-fi) mad scientist vampire monster horror mystery thriller starring Wayne Morris, Rosemary Lane, Humphrey Bogart (in one of the strangest roles of his varied career, in the title role as the mad doctor!), Dennis Morgan, John Litel, and Lya Lys NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. This poster was linenbacked, and it had fairly significant defects which were somewhat repaired during the linenbacking process (we describe both the defects as well as the quality of the restoration below). You should also look at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). there were small areas of paper loss and small tears across the top foldline; there was a 1" tear 1" to the right of the middle crossfold; there were creases, smudges, and some small tears across the bottom foldline; there was a V-shaped tear near the right end of the middle foldline; there were some creases, smudges, small tears, and small areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. The poster was well linenbacked. You can see signs of the above defects from very close up, but from any distance away, the poster looks quite nice! Learn More about condition grades
