A Slabbed Autographed Color 8" x 10" Publicity Still (slab measures 9" x 12"; see below) (Learn More) Neil Armstrong was a U.S. test pilot and astronaut from the 1950s to 1970. He has appeared on many television (TV) shows and voiced a character in Quantum Quest: A Cassini Space Odyssey; however, he is most famous for being the first person to walk on the Moon and saying the famous words "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." He passed away in 2012 at the age of 82. Important Added Info: Note that this still has been personally autographed (signed) by Neil Armstrong! Also note that the item comes with a "letter of authenticity" from the University of Cincinnati. Note that this is an autographed publicity still that was "authenticated" by Beckett Authentication Services. They encased ("slabbed") it in a hard plastic case, with the authentication information at the top. Given that the letter is from Mr. Armstrong's secretary and that she clearly states that Mr. Armstrong will NOT sign the first day cover that the man sent, but that Mr. Armstrong "asked that you accept the enclosed autographed picture as an acceptable substitute", it seems to be 100% certainty that Mr. Armstrong did, in fact, sign this photo! As is true of all the signed items we are currently auctioning, we give every buyer 30 days in which to review what they purchased and they can return any item as long as it is within 30 days of the end of the auction.
