Date Sold 11/19/2024Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage English Magazine Supplement (measures 8 1/2" x 11" [22 x 28 cm]; 2 pages) (Learn More) The Ring, the 1927 Alfred Hitchcock English silent boxing sports romantic melodrama starring Carl Brisson, Lillian Hall-Davis, Ian Hunter, Forrester Harvey, Harry Terry, and Gordon Harker (in his second movie role!). Note that this movie was released in October 1927, and then slowly had its first release across Europe over the next three years. Also note that first release movie advertising of any kind from this early Alfred Hitchcock movie is beyond rare! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that in the late 1920s and early 1930s, the top English movie magazines started including "supplements" in the center of the magazine (sometimes they were bound in, and sometimes they were loose). These were like the Sunday newspaper "rotogravure" sections, and were all sepia and had great images from then-current movies. Note that this was removed from the January 19, 1929 issue of Picture Show magazine. There is printing on the reverse side of the page, but the primary interest is the cool 2-page ad for Alfred Hitchcock's "The Ring". Condition: good to very good. The pages were removed from a magazine (see above). Learn More about condition grades
