Note that Will Eisner is one of the all time greats of the comic book industry! As a teenager, he created several new comic heroes in the 1930s, and in 1940, he created "The Spirit", which was one of the most influential comics ever. He remained a major force in comics throughout his life, and late in his life, he created a "graphic novel", and was influential in the success of that new form of comic. In 1942, he was drafted into the Army, and he created a comic strip called "Joe Dope", which was very popular and ran until 1945 when he left the Army. This poster, which features Joe Dope and has Eisner art, was obviously created during that time. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
