Date Sold 11/8/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Man Who Changed His Mind (released in the U.S. as "The Man Who Lived Again" and also as "Dr. Maniac"), the 1936 Robert Stevenson English science fiction (sci-fi) mad scientist fantasy romantic horror melodrama ("Karloff as a Love Crazed Scientist!"; about a scientist who finds a way to "copy" people's brains into another person, so that what you know is not lost when you die; he has a rich benefactor and a beautiful young assistant, and when the benefactor withdraws his support, and the assistant rejects him, it sends him over the edge, and he becomes a "mad scientist"!) starring Boris Karloff, Anna Lee, John Loder, Frank Cellier, Lynn Harding, and Donald Calthrop. Note that this movie is mostly forgotten today, but those who have seen it all agree that it is one of Karloff's best non-monster movies of the 1930s, and that it is quite entertaining and worth seeing! Also note that there is an oddity with this movie, which is that all the first release stills have Anna Lee billed as "Anne Lee"! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only once before auctioned this title card, and that was 11 years ago, when it auctioned for $338! It is likely so rare because it is for an English movie that was distributed in the United States by their American distribution company, Gaumont British, and likely those movies played at far fewer theaters than did American made movies from the same time. Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is a brown water stain in the upper left corner that affects the blank white border and part of the solid red corner of the image. There is a tiny bit of surface paper loss in the upper left edge of the woman's neck. There is a 1" tear at top center that was repaired with tape from the back. There are several creases running across the top blank border. There is a tiny tear at bottom center and two faint stains in the bottom blank border. Learn More about condition grades
