An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Belgian Movie Poster (measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Bringing Up Baby, the 1938 Howard Hawks romantic raising-a-leopard screwball comedy (about a paleontologist trying to get a million dollars for his museum, and he is joined in his quest by a flighty heiress who has a pet leopard named Baby!) starring Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, Charlie Ruggles, Barry Fitzgerald, May Robson, Walter Catlett, Fritz Feld, Asta the Dog (the same dog as in the Thin Man movies!), Nissa the Leopard (in the title role as Baby), and Leona Roberts NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster may or may not have had a blank top that was trimmed off (these very small sized Belgian posters printed during World War II sometimes did not). It had creases and scuffs along the foldlines, and pinholes, smudges, and tears around the edges of the poster. There was a small piece of tape in the center of the top border. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The restorer backed the poster "in the European style", meaning that they did not do restoration to the defects described above. Learn More about condition grades
