An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded Cuban Movie Poster (measures 20" x 30" [51 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) A Ver Que Sale (literally translates to "What Comes Up"), the 1975 Oscar Valdes Cuban music documentary short (about the recording of an album by the band Los Van Van). Los Van Van is one of the leading musical groups of post-revolutionary Cuba. It was founded in 1969 by bassist Juan Formell, who directed the band until his death in 2014. Artist: Rene Azcuy Important Added Info: Note that this is a "country of origin" poster for this Cuban movie! Note that silkscreen (also known as screen printing) is a printing technique whereby a mesh is used to transfer ink onto a poster. Only one color is printed at a time, so several screens must be used to produce a multicolored design, and it is a laborious technique because it is traditionally all done by hand. Because of the rich thickness of the layer of color on the paper and the resulting depth and brilliance achieved through silkscreen printing, this technique was preferred by many artists throughout many cultures and periods. Condition: good to very good. The borders have slightly darkened and there are some scuffs in portions of the black art (typical of Cuban silkscreen posters of this time period.)
