Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It had an 8" tear in the top border that extended into the soldier's forehead and ended just above his eye. It had small tears, creases, and some paper loss around the edges and small paper loss in the top left white background above the title. It was missing parts of the top half of the left border, and it had an 8" diagonal tear in the middle left that went into the image. Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Learn More about condition grades
