Birth of the Blues, the 1941 Victor Schertzinger New Orleans Louisiana romantic musical ("The Red-Hot and Blue show of the Year!"; "Story by Harry Tugend"; and featuring the following songs: "Wait till the sun shines, Nelly My melancholy baby, Birth of the blues after the ball, St Louis blues, By the light of the silvery moon, Waiting at the Church Memphis blues") starring Bing Crosby, Mary Martin (billed as "Mary ['Kiss the Boys Goodbye'] Martin"), Brian Donlevy, Carolyn Lee, Eddie 'Rochester' Anderson (billed as "Rochester"), J. Carrol Naish, and Roscoe Ates

Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline).

Condition: very good. There are some dots of color loss in the bottom play dates area. Someone put clear tape on parts of the borders.
