An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Just Around the Corner, the 1921 Frances Marion silent New York City family relationship melodrama ("It's a Paramount Picture"; "By Fannie Hurst"; about a widow with a teenage son and daughter, living on the Lower East Side, and they barely make end's meet, and the daughter gets a job as a movie usher over her mother's objections, and she meets a man of dubious character, but eventually she meets someone far better) starring Margaret Seddon, Lewis Sargent, Sigrid Holmquist, Eddie Phillips, and Fred Thomson (as "The Real Man"). Note that star Fred Thomson (who was director Marion's husband and perhaps appeared in this movie as a favor to her or perhaps she was doing him a favor by casting him) was a major silent cowboy star (along with Tom Mix), but he is forgotten today, because he tragically died of tetanus just when sound movies started. Surely there should be a film biography of his life (perhaps Johnny Depp could play the lead role!). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. We have only previously auctioned a glass slide from this movie (and NO other movie paper of any kind) until we received this one-sheet! What IS linenbacking? Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had a few tiny bits of paper loss on parts of the folds, with some pinholes and a few tiny tears around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
