An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) After the Thin Man (released in other English-speaking countries as "Nick, Gentleman Detective"), the 1936 W.S. Van Dyke romantic detective mystery crime comedy sequel ("Continuing the fun in their sequel"; "Continuing the fun in their new hit!"; "Their New joyous hit!"; "Mr. & Mrs. Thin Man are back in their joyous new hit!"; "'Me too' says Astra, the Dog"; "From the story by Dashiell Hammett"; one of the very popular "Thin Man" movies; the very first sequel to the super popular 1934 movie "The Thin Man") starring William Powell (as Nick Charles), Myrna Loy (as Nora Charles), James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart; in his ninth movie role), Elissa Landi, Joseph Calleia, Jessie Ralph, Alan Marshall, Teddy Hart, Sam Levene, Dorothy McNulty, Penny Singleton, and Asta (the dog). Note that original 1936 material from this very first sequel to the 1934 movie "The Thin Man" is almost as rare as that from the first movie! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Condition: good. There are many fine scuffs in the middle left of the card, in the body of the man at left and in the desk, and in the bottom of the jacket of the man in green, and in the background between the two men. There is a faint blue pen mark on Myrna Loy's eye and a mark on Stewart's jaw. There are many pinholes around the edges of the card. There are three areas of surface paper loss in the center of the bottom border, and a 1" L-shaped tear near the middle of the right blank border. Someone put much tape on the back of the borders. Obviously, this great card has very real defects, but it is also true that a talented restorer can surely greatly improve on them.
