An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Russian Movie Poster (measures 27 3/4" x 39 1/2" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More)

Taras Tryasylo, the 1927 Pyotr Chardynin Ukrainian silent Cossacks vs. Tatars 17th century war action melodrama starring Amvrosi Buchma (in the title role as Taras Triasylo), Nataliia Uzhvii, Mykola Kuchynskyi, Marharyta Chardynina-Barska, and Matvii Liarov. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
Artist: Leonid Voronov & Mikhail Evstafiev
Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned an example of this poster or ANY other movie paper for this title before! It is from before World War II. "Pre-war" Russian posters (especially ones from silent movies) are incredibly scarce, no doubt due to huge paper shortages suffered during the war. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: good. There are creases, ripples, smudges and some stains scattered throughout the poster. In many cases the defects are repaired with many different types of tape from the back and in some of those cases someone attempted to touch them up on the front. There is paper loss at lower right and amateur restoration was performed (see our image). Fortunately this extremely rare poster is otherwise "mostly all there" and linenbacking with proper restoration it will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
