It was founded in 1869 by Thomas Bramwell Welch and his son Charles Welch. Welch's is best known for their grape juices and jellys. In the 1960s, Welch's was a major sponsor of the ABC animated comedy series The Flintstones. The Flinstones characters were prominently featured in Welch's TV commercials on that show, and on jars of Welch's grape jelly which could be used as a drinking glass after the product had been fully used. There is much water staining in parts of the back of the poster, mostly in the middle right and bottom, and some of it can be seen somewhat on the front, but it is not very distracting.
