MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH ('56) MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH ('56) 1sh OR search current auctions Auction History Result #408 MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH 1sh '56 Stewart Date Sold 9/3/2002Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (27" x 41") (Learn More) Alfred Hitchcock's The Man Who Knew Too Much, the 1956 Alfred Hitchcock Morocco/London kidnapping spy espionage conspiracy crime thriller ("Alfred Hitchcock's greatest suspense Adventure!"; "The flash of a knife... the crash of cymbals! Cues for murder - excitement - suspense!"; "A little knowledge can be a dangerous thing!"; "Based on a story by Charles Bennett and D.B. Wyndham Lewis"; "Screenplay by John Michael Hayes") starring James Stewart (Jimmy Stewart), Doris Day, Brenda De Banzie, Bernard Miles, Ralph Truman, Daniel Gelin, Reggie Nalder, Richard Wattis, Alexis Bobrinskoy, and Christopher Olsen. Note that this is a re-make of Hitchcock's 1934 English film of the same name, but with quite a few differences and it includes Doris Day singing "Que Sera, Sera", which became a huge hit! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. There is about 2 1/2" of separation at the top crossfold, about 5" of separation at the right end of the top foldline (repaired with tape from the back), and some separation at the center crossfold and at some of the ends of the foldlines. There are many pairs of staple holes in the borders (some extend into the edges of the image). There are minor creases throughout the poster. There are some scuffs the right red area (slightly extending into Day's hair). There is a smudge in the lower right of the red background. The poster is in better condition than the above makes it sound! Basically, all the defects are minor, and I think most collectors would be happy with this poster. Of course, it could be linenbacked, and its minor defects would vanish, and it would look wonderful! Learn More about condition grades
