An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Cheaper by the Dozen, the 1950 Walter Lang family-with-too-many-kids comedy ("'This is My Best Picture' - Belvedere"; "He's the New Father of His Country!"; "Reading from laugh to riot... It's the fabulous and numerous Gilbreth family... With that Belvedere man at the controls!"; "Based on the Novel by Frank R. Gilbreth, Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey"; based on the real life story of the Gilbreth family) starring Clifton Webb, Jeanne Crain, Myrna Loy, Betty Lynn, Edgar Buchanan, Barbara Bates, Mildred Natwick, and Sara Allgood NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: very good. This poster was linenbacked, and one of the following is true: either the poster had very minor defects, and was well backed, OR it had more significant defects, but they were well restored, OR it had some minor defects that were not completely restored, and are somewhat noticeable. You can tell which of the above is the case for this particular poster by reading our "pre-restoration" description and also by looking at our "super-sized" image of the actual poster (we are the only major auction company we know of that gives accurate detailed pre-restoration information about linenbacked posters to our bidders, but we wish everyone did!). The poster had tiny holes at the crossfolds. There were some light stains in the left of the top foldline in the yellow background area and in the upper right of the poster in the yellow background area and in the right of the top border, which appear to be minor printing defects. The NSS stamp from the back slightly bleeds through in Jeanne Crain's credit at top right. The person who backed the poster just backed it as is, not doing anything about the above minor defects, and they are really not distracting. The poster was in excellent condition other than the above defects. If they bothered the new owner of the poster, any talented restorer could restore those areas, without re-backing the poster.
