An Original Vintage Studio Brochure (measures 9 1/4" x 12 1/4" [23 x 31 cm]; 16 pages) (Learn More) MGM 1932, the 1932 16-page studio brochure ("The whispering campaign that ruined a theater") that contains illustrated information in full color about MGM's releases set for 1932, including Greta Garbo in Mata Hari, Joan Crawford in Letty Lynton, Clark Gable and Marion Davies in Polly of the Circus, John Barrymore in Arsene Lupin, Tarzan the Ape Man, and of course, Grand Hotel. Probably the highlight of the brochure is an ad that takes up around one-sixth of a page for Tod Browning's Freaks, which has an image of Browning and great taglines about the movie! This brochure was printed and distributed direct to theaters, but it likely was also included in exhibitor magazines as a supplement.
