Williams silent Edison romantic comedy short (about two neighboring elderly relatives, a bachelor and an old maid, who disapprove of their niece and nephew's romantic relationship; the young couple pretends to quarrel to trick their elders, who then strive to reconcile them, unaware of the deception, but the elders believe they successfully reunite the couple, not knowing the young lovers were never truly at odds with each other!) starring William Wadsworth, Alice Washburn, Harry Beaumont, and Bessie Learn NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that in the early days of movies, some studios would print posters with a blank title area, so that different countries could print in the title of the movie in their language. In later years, these would be called export posters. But because this poster is so rare, we don't know that it was ever printed with an English language title on it, and it may be that all of the posters created had blank tops. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Note that movie paper from this film is incredibly rare. We have never auctioned even a single movie paper item from this movie until we were consigned this poster! Note also that this one-sheet measures 28" x 39 1/2" [71 x 100 cm]. Condition: good. The poster was folded in half an extra time, and there are some light brown stains on the back of the part of the poster that was on the outside when it was fully folded.
