An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More)

Why Girls Leave Home, the 1945 William Berke bad girl teen melodrama ("Original Story by Fanya Foss Lawrence") starring Lola Lane, Sheldon Leonard, Pamela Blake, Elisha Cook Jr., Paul Guilfoyle, Constance Worth and Claudia Drake. Note that Lola Lane was one of the three acting Lane Sisters, and they had been major stars in the late 1930s and early 1940s, but after the filming of Arsenic and Old Lace, Priscilla Lane had a major falling out with the studio, and none of the three sisters had much success after that, with Lola reduced to B-movies like this! Note that most people would naturally assume that there were only three Lane sisters in real life, which was why they had to cast a non-sister in the role of the fourth movie sister. But actually, they DID have a fourth sister, Leota, but she had a screen test, and did so poorly that she was sent home (which surely must have made for strained holiday dinners!).

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.

Condition: good to very good. There is an ink pad stamp on the back that slightly bleeds through to the front at There is some paper loss in the upper crossfold that effects the art of Lane's face. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition.
