An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked International One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; printed for use in Spanish-speaking countries; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Inferno, the 1980 Dario Argento Italian fantasy horror mystery thriller (about an American student investigating the death of his sister and her friend) starring (in alphabetical order) Eleonora Giorgi, Gabriele Lavia, Veronica Lazar, Leopoldo Mastelloni, Irene Miracle, Daria Nicolodi, Sascha Pitoeff, Alida Valli (often billed as Valli; best remembered as the female lead of The Third Man), Leigh McCloskey ("as Mark"), and Dario Argento (who narrates!) Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this one-sheet, and those were 24 and 25 years ago! In fact, it was so long ago, that we don't have images of them, but it seems likely that those were Spanish language as this one is (see below). If anyone knows more about this poster and whether they also made an English language version, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Learn More Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). It also had some creases and scuffs on parts of the folds. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects.
