He is best-known for his creation of the "Star Trek" franchise, starting with the classic TV series in 1966. In 1985, he became the first TV writer with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and he was later inducted by both the Science Fiction Hall of Fame and the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Hall of Fame. He passed away in 1991 at the age of 70. Years after he died, Roddenberry was one of the first humans to have his ashes carried into Earth's orbit. Some of his other works include: Pretty Maids All in a Row, West Point, Whiplash, and Have Gun - Will Travel Important Added Info: This cut album page has been personally autographed (signed) by Gene Roddenberry!
