Note that the Venice Simplon Orient-Express (or VSOE) is a private luxury train service from London to Venice and other European cities. These VSOE services are not to be confused with a regularly scheduled train called the Orient Express, which ran nightly between Paris and Bucharest Artist: Pierre Fix-Masseau Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster was completely torn down the center unevenly, with some paper loss at the top of that tear and some tiny bits of paper loss along the tear. Overall, the poster was in fair condition prior to linenbacking. Someone simply had the poster mounted with no restoration. Another restorer could surely perform restoration without re-backing it, but please bear the above in mind before bidding. Learn More about condition grades
