A Smileage Book is a Theater Pass, the circa 1918 U.S. World War I (WWI) Home Front poster ("Send one to a soldier in camp"; "Military Entertainment Council - War Department Commission on Training Camp Activities") encouraging citizens to purchase a Smileage Book, and featuring Fellner art of a smiling soldier holding up an example. Note that a Smileage Book was a set of 20 movie/theater tickets that citizens could purchase and send to soldiers so that they could watch films or other entertainment.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good. The poster had smudges and scuffs scattered throughout, more so along the folds and around the edges. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was stored rolled for many years, and it acquired some creases scattered across the top 5", with a larger crease running down the top right corner for 8". There also are some light vertical "waves" in the poster that can be reduced over time. However, bear in mind this added factor of the poster's present condition before bidding on it.
