An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Revenge of the Creature, the 1955 Jack Arnold Universal monster Florida horror science fiction (sci-fi) 3-D (3D; 3-Dimension) sequel ("Terror is loose in the city!"; "Weird Monster escapes! Terror seizes city!"; "All New Thrills! Shock! Suspense!"; "Monster Escapes!"; "City flees in Terror!"; "Here at last! New thrill wonder 3-D Horrorscope!") starring John Agar, Lori Nelson, John Bromfield, Nester Paiva, Ricou Browning (who played the Gill Man underwater), Tom Hennesy (who played the Gill Man on land), Clint Eastwood (in his big screen [speaking] debut in a bit part as a lab assistant), Brett Halsey, and Flippy the Porpoise. Note that this movie was released in 3-D, but most first release U.S. posters don't bother to mention that (perhaps because the 3-D craze was dying down). NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Reynold Brown Condition: good to very good. The poster had a snipe of some sort attached to the upper left background area, to the left of the "ALL NEW" box and it was attached with tape. Someone removed that tape which had caused surface paper loss in the dark background to the left of "A" in "ALL" and some surface paper loss around the edges of where the snipe was. There were some matching tape stains in the lower left of the poster to the left of the top of the title, in the background area and in the white border, caused by coming in contact with the tape from the top area. The poster also had tiny paper loss at the top and bottom crossfolds and 1" of separation at the middle crossfold. It had some pinholes and creases around the edges. Someone performed some amateur restoration to the two areas of staining and surface paper loss in the upper left and upper right described above and also over tape stains that were in the corners. The above defects are not very distracting, but please look at our super-sized image to get a good sense of the exact condition of this poster prior to placing a bid.
