An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More)

Radio Ranch, the 1940 B. Reeves Eason science fiction (sci-fi) singing cowboy western musical ("A Feature Version of the Serial Motion Picture 'Phantom Empire'") starring Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, Jack Carlyle, Dorothy Christy, and Frankie Darro. This movie is the feature version of 1935's serial "The Phantom Empire". As often happened with 1930s and 1940s serials, that serial was edited into this "feature version" (a condensed version of all the chapters, eliminating unnecessary subplots, and bringing it down to feature length). However, in this case, this feature version was not created and released until five years after the serial was released, so we list it as a separate entry, because of the long delay between the two. Also, note that at some later time, this feature version was released again, this time as "Men with Steel Faces" (this may have happened in 1952, or it may have happened at a later time). Somehow, the IMDb picked this title up as the title of this feature version, but that is absolutely wrong, and it was titled "Radio Ranch" when it was first released in 1940. If anyone has any connections at IMDb, please have them fix this mistake!

Important Added Info: Note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has.

Condition: very good. The card had a small circular hole in the bottom center of the blue image background, by Autry's leg. Otherwise, the card was in very nice condition. Someone taped a small piece from another card to the back of that area, and then colored the front to match, and they did a nice job (see our images).
