An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) Road to Happiness, the 1942 Phil Rosen tearjerker romantic family relationship radio musical melodrama ("From the American Magazine story 'First Performance' by Matt Taylor"; about a singer whose career is at a low point, but then he finds he can succeed by singing on the radio, which lets him support his young son) starring John Boles ("in his greatest love story"), Mona Barrie, Billy Lee, Roscoe Karns, and Lillian Elliot NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and black tape, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the black tape or the edges of the slide well. Condition: very good. The theater that used this slide wrote the days the movie was playing in the play dates section at the bottom of the glass. The slide does not have a cardboard holder, but rather there is black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of older glass slides.
