An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Belgian Movie Poster (measures 16 1/2" x 23 3/4" [42 x 60 cm]) (Learn More) Die vier Gesellen (literally translates to "The Four Fellows"), the 1938 Carl Froelich German romantic melodrama starring Ingrid Bergman, Sabine Peters, Carsta Lock, Ursula Herking, Hans Sohnker, Leo Slezak, Erich Ponto, and Heinz Welzel. Note that this was one of the German movies Ingrid Bergman made before she came to the U.S. from Sweden in 1939, at which time she first remade her earlier Swedish movie, Intermezzo!. It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is a rare "pre-War" Belgian poster. Prior to World War II, Belgian posters were much larger than the ones from after the war, and they are extremely rare (because during WWII, there was a massive paper shortage in Belgium, and they took virtually every poster and map, and printed new posters on the backs of them!). Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good to very good. There is approximately 1 1/2" of foldline separation at some of the ends of the foldlines and there is a small amount of tattering and creasing around the edges of the poster. The poster is otherwise in pretty nice condition, especially considering its age and origin, and it displays well and if one had it linenbacked it would look great! Learn More about condition grades
