An Original Vintage Linenbacked Stage Play Poster (measures 18 1/2" x 25" [47 x 64 cm]) (Learn More)

Caravaggio, the 1971 Word Baker stage play production (of the famous Italian artist who lived from 1571 to 1610, dying at just 38 years of age) which was performed at the Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park in July. Note that this poster features David Edward Byrd artwork. Note that Caravaggio was indisputably a wonderful artist, but he lived a very troubled life and was in many violent brawls, and there are many who believe that he was a gay homosexual man at a time when that was career ending, and this is reinforced by the many examples of his art with a homoerotic theme, and that he never married and never painted any nude women!
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Artist: David Edward Byrd
Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned two examples of this stage play poster, and one of those two posters has now been reconsigned to us, so it is still only one of two examples we have ever auctioned!
