An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures 3 1/4" x 4" [8 x 10 cm]) (Learn More) A Society Scandal, the 1924 Allan Dwan silent family relationship divorce romantic comedy melodrama ("From the play 'The Laughing Lady' by Alfred Sutro"; about a neglected society wife who tries to help one of her husband's associates and he thinks they are having an affair and divorces her; she blames his divorce lawyer and accuses the lawyer of attacking her, which ruins his career, and she regrets what she did and confesses, and they end up falling in love!) starring Gloria Swanson, Rod La Rocque, Ricardo Cortez, Allan Simpson, Ida Waterman, and Thelma Converse. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). This slide is the kind that has two panes of glass that are taped together with black tape around all four edges (front and back), typical of many older glass slides. We have provided a high quality scan of the image, but we have not taken a photo of the slide, because there would really be very little to see! Condition: good to very good. There is slight smudging on the glass (it is not very distracting, and it could likely be cleaned).
