An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Insert Movie Poster (measures 14" x 36") (Learn More) Unknown Ranger, the 1936 Spencer Gordon Bennet Texas Rangers horse rustling cowboy western ("Defying the rustlers of the prairie!"; "Meet your new thrill favorite!") starring Bob Allen, Martha Tibbetts, Harry Woods, Hal Taliaferro (billed as "Wally Wales"), and Robert 'Buzz' Henry. Note that Columbia had personal troubles with star Ken Maynard, even though he was very popular, and they signed Bob Allen to make cowboy movies, and this was the first of six that he made for Columbia. But he couldn't sing, and when singing cowboys became all the rage, his cowboy career was over! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. The poster had creases along the foldlines and pinholes, smudges, tears, and small paper loss along the edges of the poster. The person who paperbacked the poster put new paper over much of the original borders. The poster was well backed.
