Important Added Info: Note that in March of 2013, we auctioned a great still that showed a picture of a man standing by a massive 10-foot standee (it sold for $38). What we didn't know then is that this standee is advertised full-length on the first interior page of the pressbook, and it says that there was a hole by the beast's head so that you could put dry ice in a container of water behind it, and have smoke come out for ten minutes as people were filing into the theater, and it also says that the monster has a "crimson tongue that darts up and down and a glaring eye that moves back and forth" thanks to the enclosed motor and battery. It says that "this display is our way of saying 'you're welcome' for the great response we received for the 'House of Wax' display"! Note that we have provided an image of the front and back covers of this pressbook (if the back cover is not the poster page, we photographed the interior poster page), and of course, the winner of this auction will receive the entire single pressbook we are auctioning (plus any supplements or heralds described above)! Also note that this pressbook is complete and uncut! Given that theater owners purchased pressbooks partly in order to create their newspaper advertising, and quite frequently cut them up for that purpose, it is rare to find a pressbook that IS complete and uncut!
