Pogson) starring Gary Cooper (in the title role as Marco Polo), Basil Rathbone, George Barbier (as Kublai Khan), Ernest Truex, Sigrid Gurie (billed as "introducing Sigrid Gurie... Discovered by Samuel Goldwyn in Norway... Young, beautiful, interesting and exciting in her fresh talent"), Lana Turner (in one of her earliest film roles), Binnie Barnes, Alan Hale Sr., Lotus Liu, "And a Cast of Five Thousand" NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Artist: Osvaldo Venturi Important Added Info: Note that an advanced collector of Argentinean posters tells us that this poster (and other Argentinean posters from Guaranteed Pictures) are not from 1943 (as we and many other sellers have mistakenly put), but are actually from the mid-to-late 1940s, and that they are re-releases. We got the date of 1943 from the poster but that is actually part of the company's street address! Apparently, Guaranteed Pictures made a deal to re-release several classic movies in the mid 1940s, and they produced posters for those re-releases with great art by the wonderful Argentinean poster artist, Osvaldo Venturi. Please do not bid on this poster thinking that it is a first release from 1943 as it is a mid-to-late 1940s re-release. Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss in the crossfolds and some small tears in the top 1/4 of the vertical foldline. There were creases, smudges, and pinholes around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, but the restorer did not touch up the defects in the blank borders (surely rightfully assuming they will not show when the poster is framed).
