An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Egyptian Movie Poster (measures 27 1/2" x 39 1/4" [70 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) Chelovek-Amfibiya (released in the U.S. as "The Amphibian Man"), the 1962 Vladimir Chebotaryov & Gennadi Kazansky Russian science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy romantic love triangle melodrama (about a scientist who loves the sea, and he has shark gills transplanted into him, which allows him to stay underwater for extended periods of time, but he falls in love with a regular girl who has an evil boyfriend) starring Vladimir Korenev, Anastasia Vertinskaia, Mikhail Kozakov, A. Smiranin, and Nikolai Simonov. Note that this movie was intended to be released in France under the title "Tarzan des mers", meaning "Tarzan of the Sea", but the Edgar Rice Burroughs estate, ever vigilant to protect their property, protested, and the title was withdrawn, although posters had been created. We don't know if it was ever actually exhibited under that title. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. There is a very light horizontal crease across the poster at upper and lower center from it being stored with posters that were tri-folded and there are some creases along portions of those folds. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition. Learn More about condition grades
