THX 1138, the 1971 George Lucas science fiction (sci-fi) dystopian future melodrama ("The future is here."; "Visit the future where love is the ultimate crime."; "Story by George Lucas"; "Executive Producer, Francis Ford Coppola") starring Robert Duvall (in the title role as THX 1138), Donald Pleasence, Don Pedro Colley, John Seaton, Johnny Weissmuller Jr., Susan Baldwin, Ian Wolfe, and Maggie McOmie. Note that this was George Lucas' first movie. Some people (including myself) liked it quite a bit, but generally its dark and ultra-depressing theme turned off audiences, and it was not very successful on first release.

Important Added Info: Note that this poster is a special "chrome robot" poster for George Lucas' first feature, THX 1138. It is printed on a heavy paper stock, and the surface of it is completely chromed. It is from the original 1971 release of the movie, and it was not sent out to theaters in general (theaters showing the movie had to contact a special address listed in the pressbook in order to get this poster). Note also that this one-sheet measures 24" x 39" [61 x 99 cm], but it has not been trimmed.

Condition: good to very good. There are several scuff marks and creases scattered throughout the poster (typical of most vintage posters printed on 'foil' paper stock). There is a series of vertical creases scattered along the right of the poster and there are tack holes in each corner. Please see our super-sized image to get a good sense of the condition of this item prior to placing a bid.
