An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Three-Sheet Movie Poster (3sh; measures 41" x 81" [104 x 206 cm]) (Learn More)

Edge of the City (released in other English-speaking countries as "A Man Is Ten Feet Tall"), the 1957 Martin Ritt New York City race relations suspense thriller ("From the edge of your seat you'll see Edge of the City") starring John Cassavetes, Sidney Poitier, Jack Warden, Kathleen Maguire, and Ruby Dee
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Artist: Saul Bass
Important Added Info: Note that the Saul Bass art on this three-sheet was WAY ahead of its time with a really avant garde image of a man at the top of the poster whose head is "cut off". We wonder what 1956 viewers of this poster thought of it (probably many thought it was "missing" a piece! Also note that this film was released in January of 1957 but some U.S. items have a NSS of "56/466", while others have "57/27". Items with either NSS are from the first release of this movie. We have seen similar situations occur with other titles, especially when they were released right at the end or beginning of a year (as this film was). Note that this three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: fair to good. The poster is fragile. There are some creases and several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on the other foldlines, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds.
