Kenton newspaper reporter journalism murder mystery crime thriller ("An exciting newspaper drama"; a wacky story of a newspaper reporter who has a sister who badly needs an operation, and he gets the money from a crook; eight years later, he is accused of a murder he did not commit, and he discovers the crook who helped him is the real murderer, and he goes to the crook to tell him that he won't expose him out of thanks for what he did for his sister, but he has been followed and the crook is arrested!) starring Lew Cody, Sally Blane, Wallace Ford, Mary Nolan, and Fred Kohler NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had ink transfer in the blue background at top center, caused by the poster being folded too quickly after it was printed, and there are also smudges in the solid yellow areas, some of which are likely printing defects. There are smudges and scuffs scattered throughout the poster, including in the "X" of the title, and there was once tape on the back of most foldlines, where there had been separations and some tiny tears. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects. Note that the restorer who mounted the poster did not leave any excess linen around the edges of the poster. Learn More about condition grades
