An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Swamp Woman, the 1941 Elmer Clifton romantic escaped convict crime thriller ("Make a date with me to see my first picture"; about a sleazy honky tonk dancer who gets involved with an escaped convict, and helps clear him of the crime he was convicted for; despite the lurid ad campaign, this is a pretty straight forward prison escape melodrama and Corio does not have any big sex scenes and does not display much flesh!) starring Ann Corio, Jack La Rue, Mary Hull, Ian MacDonald, and Jay Novello. Note that Ann Corio was a famous stripper at Minsky's Burlesque Theater in New York City. In 1940, she was said to have been paid $1,000 a week, plus a percentage of the gross! Condition: good. The poster has many smudges scattered throughout. There are several tears of varying lengths in the lower half of the poster that are mostly repaired with tape from the back and some are touched up with marker or have additional paper on the back.
